Who would ever think of the existence of IT would drastically change the way we live, communicate and even the way we do business. Back to few decades ago, there were only brick-and-mortar businesses and where the ways of communication were so limited.
Today, I strongly believe that we wouldn’t know what to do without technology. Even a few minutes breakdown of computer systems would mean a loss of few thousand or more to large companies. For me, it’s so surprising to see so many changes within 23 years. When I was still in primary school, I already amazed by the usefulness of a computer and I had witnessed a small part of the evolution of IT.

With the superb technology available to us and the increasing new technologies coming out every day, we must force ourselves to update ourselves on all the new technologies. However, it doesn’t mean that we need to know and use everything which is related to IT, but at least, we need to know what’s going on in the world of IT. Being not able to keep ourselves updated to latest information, it would mean a loss for us, not in the form of money, time or other factors but will soon or later find that they are losing a ground against others who has put in effort to update and to learn new technologies.
Most companies, I can say, computer literacy is indeed one of the prerequisite for anyone to work in any companies and it also applies to small and medium enterprise. As for MsOffice, it’s a must-know software for us. Knowledge in software like AutoCAD, SAP, SPSS, just to name a few would greatly increase our chances of getting employed. In a nutshell, IT is now the complete backbone to almost any businesses and so, let’s us indulge in the world of IT.
